While I've always been drawn to both visual and performing arts, drawing and painting were my first love. Encouraged, thankfully, by my mother, fellow creative friends, a host of comic book titles and all things fantasy, it wasn't long before I had sketchbooks full of dragons, fairies and superheroes.
The theatrical arts caught my eye in high school and, as much as I loved being on stage, the magic of what went on behind the scenes was irresistible. Eight years later I walked away from New York University with a degree in Theatre Design, a lot of ideas and a whole bunch of debt.
I can say I've lived that starving artist life, but I've also had a lot of good come my way. I work with a local non-profit dance company as the main Costume Director and am also active on their Board of Directors. I've got a truly incredible kid with a creative streak all their own, two adorable dogs and a pair of rambunctious kittens.
